The Great Pink City

Jaipur also known as the Pink City is the capital of Rajasthan state of India.

Jaipur, the Pink City is a ancient land of Rajputs. The city has always been charming and attractive, with its majestic charm. The city palace or royal residence is a blend of Rajasthani styles and Mughal by projected balconies, arches on slender pillars and entrances. A large paved courtyard is flanked on three sides by apartments for the royal retainers whose families are on hand to serve as guides.

The seven-story palace houses the Chandra Mahal, where the former ruling family still lives, outdoor patio with a museum. The museum houses a rare collection of fascinating weapons, swords of all shapes and sizes

There is also an art gallery with an excellent collection of paintings, carpets and rare astronomical works in Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit and Latin, acquired by Sawai Jai Singh II for his study of planets and their movements.

Jaipur is a land of cultural heritage to develop the real legacy of the past. It is important to know the culture, customs and traditions that are still here. However, Jaipur has joined the parade of metropolitan cities. However, there are some traditions and customs of the city, which is quite surprising.

The people here are held every occasion, fairs and festivals, with all the gusto and enthusiasm. The festivals of the Hindus and Muslims are held.

People prefer to wear bright colors clothing as if they are compensating for the barren landscape. Women, like red, yellow, green and orange with a dazzling work of gold or silver. Ladies wear a lot of tribal silver jewelry even men can also be seen with earrings. The men wear colorful turbans.

Amber Fort is 11 km from Jaipur. The Kachchawahas ruled from Amber for seven centuries. With a history so old, it is not unexpected that much of the past that goes back in its archaeological history.
